Visit the Derbyshire Peak District and stay in our 4 star quality 17th century holiday cottage in Buxton. Buxton is a Victorian Spa & Market Town in the centre of the Derbyshire Peak District -

During the day walk the peaks and dales, moors and the beautiful rambling countryside. The Derbyshire Peak District is ideal for walking, cycling or just driving and sight seeing any time of year.

In the evening explore Buxton's parks and gardens and visit the local pubs and restaurants (without having to drive) - even help yourself to the famous Buxton Spring Water at St.Annes Well.

Or simply just relax in our c350 year old 4 star holiday cottage which was once the home of the local blacksmith and his family located in a quiet street close to the main market square of Buxton

Around Buxton is some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK. Whether you enjoy walking, rambling, cycling, rock climbing or just simply appreciate superb views. Buxton is located centrally within the Derbyshire Peak District making it easy to get to all these great facilities.

Location of Smithy's Cottage

Smithy's Cottage is a very warm and cosy cottage to rent on a quiet "access only" road near the centre of Buxton within walking distance of some great pubs and restaurants and all the local amenities including the famous Buxton Opera House.  

Buxton is also well served by public transport  links (trains and buses) from Manchester, Derby, Sheffield and Nottingham for those who do not want to bring their car. The main bus stops are only 250m from the cottage which gives easy access to all parts of the Peaks to start a great day out.
