is a Victorian Spa & Market Town in the Peak District - and it is also
well served by public transport.
During
the day walk the peaks and dales, moors and the beautiful rambling countryside
of the peaks. The Derbyshire Peak District is ideal for walking, cycling
or driving any time of year.
In the
evening explore Buxton's parks and gardens and visit the local pubs
and restaurants (without driving) - even help yourself to the famous
Buxton Spring Water at St.Annes Well.
Or simply
relax in our c350 year old 4 star holiday cottage rental once the home
of the local blacksmith and his family located in a quiet street close
to the main market square of Buxton.
Smithy's Cottage
is a very warm and cosy cottage to rent in a quiet location near the
centre of Buxton within a walking distance of some great pubs and restaurants
and all amenities including the famous Buxton Opera House.

The Peak District has some of the most beautiful countryside in the
UK and Buxton is located centrally within the Derbyshire Peak
District.
The stunning and diverse scenery of the Peak District and Derbyshire
makes it great for walking, family cycling, mountain biking and
adventure sports such as caving, rock climbing, hang gliding and
paragliding - there's also plenty to do for those with a more
relaxed approach to nature and the great outdoors!
Whatever your tastes or interests, whether a romantic weekend, short
break or longer holiday, you're sure to have a memorable time –
